6.2 Quake frees swarm of Ogopogo from bedrock under Canadian lake – town evacuated – no fatalities yet reported

ogo(REUTERS) NARAMATA, B.C.- The restive lakeside community of Naramata awakened this morning to a 6.2 tremblor that while doing only minor damage with no reported injuries, released an estimated 25-30 Ogopogo from the bedrock under their lake. “The quake was stronger than the ones we’re used to…”, said longtime resident and realtor Roger Yeo, “it was about 15 minutes after things settled down that we saw the first of them climbing out of the lake making their way downtown.” Those that were unable to be evacuated have been ordered to shelter in place until the military can respond….MORE
