66th birthday party planned for ‘Snooty’ the manatee

Tampa Bay’s most-beloved manatee becomes more adorable with each passing year. As Snooty approaches his 66th birthday, he’s showing a few signs of aging. His skin has turned lighter grey and he has a little extra waddle under his chin.   Snooty was born on July 21, 1948 in Miami and now lives at the South Florida Museum in Bradenton. We have a HUGE responsibility to protect our children and their futures. Our Gulf of Mexico has nearly been destroyed by the Deep-water Horizon catastrophe and many families here will never recover. Paradise lost, so it goes. I’m doing my best to apolitically educate anyone that cares about the impact on our environment by technology and “for-profit” progress.
